8 Tips for Winning Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline Matches

Frontline is one of the multiplayer modes in Call of Duty: Mobile. This game mode is quite similar to Team Deathmatch, with the first side to reach 60 (rather than 50) kills winning, but there are some notable differences. Unlike Team Deathmatch, killed players respawn in the same team area on one side of the map. Plus, Frontline matches have two halves, with the second starting when a team reaches 30 kills. Here are some tips for winning more Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline matches.

Don’t Waste Operator Skills or Scorestreaks at the End of a Half

The Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline halftime interval deactivates any operator skills and scorestreaks activated. For example, if you’re using a Death Machine operator skill when the first half ends, you won’t have that weapon from the start of the second half. The halftime interval also destroys activated scorestreaks, like Sentry Gun or Chopper Gunner.

So, don’t waste operator skills or scorestreaks by using them just before the first half ends. If one team has reached the 26 or 27 kill mark, you should wait for the half to end before activating operator skills or scorestreaks like Sentry Gun, XS1 Goliath, VTOL, and Chopper Gunner. Then, you can utilize operator skills or scorestreaks for their full durations from the start of the second half.

Don’t Play Too Aggressively

Killing enemies in Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline doesn’t help your team that much if they kill you more. It’s your K/D ratio, not your kill total, that counts for winning Frontline matches. Playing too aggressively by chasing after enemies all over a map can get you killed more often, if you’re careful. This is especially the case for players who frequently rush out into open, more exposed areas of maps without looking around enough.

Sometimes it’s better to let the enemies come to you rather than rush around after them. Find a good shooting position (ideally with some cover protection) on a map and wait for enemies to approach. Then, open fire when you see (or hear) opponents enter your field of view.

Add the XS1 Goliath to Your Loadout

The XS1 Goliath is a mechanized armored suit equipped with an arm-mounted minigun. This is a good scorestreak to have in your loadout for the spawn trap tactic in Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline. Deploying the XS1 Goliath is a good way to inflict mass kills just outside the enemy team’s spawn area because it’s very tough for opponents to destroy this scorestreak when utilized effectively. When you’ve activated an XS1 Goliath, move to and camp in front of one of the exit points for the other team’s spawn area, from which you can mow down enemies with your minigun.

Strafe in Combat

Strafing is a sideways movement, typically from a cover position, that maintains aim in first-person shooters. This sideways combat strafing can be even more effective in Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline matches, with automatic health regeneration. Strafe out from cover to open fire and eliminate an enemy. Then, strafe back in to replenish lost health and reload your gun if necessary. This kind of combat strafing in Frontline will likely enhance your K/D ratio.

Move Alongside Teammates

Try to move alongside and stay closer to teammates in Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline matches when you can. Then, you can combine your gunfire with your teammates to inflict more kills. Avoid running into multiple enemies on your own, who will probably kill you if you do.

Make Friends With Decent Teammates

Your Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline teams don’t necessarily always have to be random. Try making friends with teammates who impress you during matches so that you can invite them to join your future ranked matches. To do this, tap on the thumbs-up buttons for players on the match result screen. Then, you can select an option to send friend requests for adding them to a player list from which you can send out invites. Having better teammates to invite will help you win more matches.

Beware of Snipers

Sniping tends to be more prevalent in Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline than in game modes like Domination and Hardpoint. So, you’ll need to be more careful of enemy snipers in Frontline than in other matches. Look out for scope glint from sniping rifles that highlight snipers during matches and move quickly when you see them to avert potential shots.

When you’re fighting against snipers, NEVER run directly toward them from a distance. Doing this will give them time to aim, shoot, and kill you. Instead, try to find alternative paths to approach them, in which they can’t target you, for shorter-range gunfighting. The best way to deal with snipers is to shoot them at shorter distances for which their rifles aren’t well suited.

Practice Headshots

Inflicting headshots is the best way to kill enemies faster in Call of Duty: Frontline matches. It’s worth setting aside some time for headshot practice. You can practice headshots by fighting bots in Single Player Map Training. Select Match > Practice > Single Player Map Training to enter a Frontline map you can add bots to. Those bots aren’t that tough, but they’re still good moving targets to practise killing enemies with headshots. Alternatively, you can also practise headshots against human opponents in non-ranked matches.

You’ll probably climb the rankings faster if you follow those Call of Duty: Mobile Frontline tips. Stay focused on your K/D ratio, practise headshots, be careful of snipers, strafe in combat, and stand by your teammates to get ahead of the game in Frontline. Good luck, and enjoy the blasting action in Frontline.
