8 Tips for Call of Duty: Mobile Search and Destroy Matches

If you’re a Counter-Strike fan, you’ll love the Search and Destroy mode in Call of Duty: Mobile. Search and Destroy is a bomb-defusal multiplayer mode in Call of Duty: Mobile that pits two teams against each other in battles to plant and detonate or defuse bombs, similar to CS2. This is a more tactical, objective-based multiplayer mode than others in Call of Duty: Mobile. Here are some tips for winning Call of Duty: Mobile Search and Destroy matches.

Don’t Play Search and Destroy Like Team Deathmatch

Search and Destroy is somewhat different from Team Deathmatch. Even though you can win rounds by killing all opponents, you only get one life per round with no respawn. So, your approach to playing Search and Destroy rounds should be somewhat more cautious and less aggressive than in Team Deathmatch. You should play Search and Destroy more like battle royale rather than Team Deathmatch.

Also, remember that Search and Destroy is more objective-based than Team Deathmatch. You don’t always need to kill everybody to win rounds. Focus on planting the bombs when on the attacking side to win more rounds with detonations. If you’re defending, you can win rounds on time by slowing down and delaying opponents or defusing planted explosive devices.

Guard Dropped Bombs

When your team kills an opponent carrying the bomb, the eliminated player drops the explosive device. The remaining opponents will likely attempt to retrieve the bomb so they can plant it. To prevent players from retrieving the bomb, guard their dropped explosive devices. Try to find a good position behind some cover from which you can keep an eye on a dropped bomb and shoot down players who attempt to pick it up again.

You’ll be alerted when an enemy player has dropped the bomb. If you’re not sure where the dropped bomb is, view your map. You’ll see the location of the dropped bomb highlighted on the map.

Don’t Leave a Bomb Site Undefended

There are always two bomb sites for the attacking team to plant the explosive device. Leaving one site completely undefended makes it easy for a team attacking it to plant. If four players in your team move to defend one bomb site, keep an eye on the other just in case your opponents attack it. Then, try to slow the other team down if it attacks the bomb site you’re guarding until reinforcements arrive. Even if you get killed defending on your own, you will at least have delayed the attacking team from planting.

Stay Close to Planted Bombs

When your team has planted a bomb, it will only take the enemy about five seconds to defuse it if given a chance. So, don’t stray away from a planted bomb in pursuit of remaining enemies. Doing so will give them a chance to sneak in and quickly defuse the bomb, costing your team a round. Remaining opponents will certainly come to you if you stick around planted bombs.

Bring a UAV

The UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is the only scorestreak you can utilize in Call of Duty: Mobile because it’s the cheapest. Killing four enemies in a round yourself will enable you to activate the UAV, which will detect the remaining opponent on your radar. So, UAV is the only scorestreak worth equipping for Search and Destroy because you can’t utilize any other in this game mode.

Get Stealthy With Dead Silence

Dead Silence is the best perk to equip for Call of Duty: Mobile Search and Destroy matches, in my opinion. This perk enables you to move silently by muting the sound of your footsteps. As it makes you silent, enemy players will never hear your approaching, which is ideal for the more stealthy combat required in Search and Destroy. The silent movement will enable you to sneak up on and attack enemies from behind or flanks to inflict surprise kills much more easily.

Bring Smokes

Smoke grenades can be useful for Call of Duty: Mobile Search and Destroy matches. For example, you can use smokes to give yourself (or teammates) more protection from enemy fire when planting bombs. Chuck a smoke at a bomb site just before planting an explosive device. Then, enemies won’t be able to see the player planting the bomb when in a cloud of smoke. Smoke clouds can be a lifesaver if enemies approach when you’re planting a bomb.

Support the Carrier for Bomb Planting

Teamwork is slightly more important in Call of Duty: Mobile Search and Destroy than in Team Deathmatch. It’s important to support the bomb carrier in your team when on the attacking side. You should always move with the bomb carrier and attack the site he’s moving toward. Then, you can assist the carrier in eliminating enemies that get in the way. If the bomb carrier is eliminated, you can also quickly pick up the bomb after the carrier drops it.

There isn’t any golden formula for winning Call of Duty: Mobile Search and Destroy matches. However, you’ll probably win more Search and Destroy matches by sticking to the tips discussed above. Good luck, and have fun searching and destroying!
