Where to Find the Genshin Impact Miasma Locations

Genshin Impact’s Chenyu Vale includes a strange phenomenon known as Miasma. It is a toxic purple corruption associated with the Chenyu’s Blessings of Sunken Jade questline. Purifying the Miasma locations restores the natural order of Chenyu Vale. You’ll also receive Precious or Luxurious chests for each Miasma location cleared. This is where you can find all seven of the Genshin Impact Miasma locations.

Mt. Xuanlian

To find this Genshin Impact Miasma location, head to the Mt. Xuanlian region of Chenyu Vale marked on the map. You’ll need to walk in a southwestern direction from the Teleport Waypoint in Chenyu Vale to find this Miasma location. The Miasma is on the western side of Mt. Xuanlian in the location circled directly below.

This Miasma is located on a lake. You’ll need to fight Hilichurls, Mitachurls, and Frostarm Lawachurls. As they’ll be wet enemies, bring a Cryo character who can freeze wet enemies, such as Kaeya, Ganyu, Layla, and Mika.

West of Chizhang Wall

This Genshin Impact Miasma location is west of Chizhang Wall. The best way to reach it is to head to the Statue of Seven in the Chizhang Wall area. Then walk directly west from there to reach the Miasma location marker shown in the snapshot below. Jump off the cliffside to land at the Miasma location.

Yaodie Valley

To find this Genshin Impact Miasma location, head to the Teleport Waypoint in Yaodie Valley. Then walk in a slight northeasterly direction from there. You’ll need to walk through a path that leads to an underground area that includes the Miasma.

The Eastern Side of Mt. Lingmeng

You can find this Genshin Impact Miasma location in the Mt. Lingmeng region of Chenyu Vale. To find it, go to the Teleport Waypoint in the middle of Mt. Lingmeng. Then walk east from there to reach the Miasma location along the eastern side of Mt. Lingmeng.

Along the Western Side of Chizhang Wall

To find this Genshin Impact Miasma location, go to the Statue of Seven west of Chizhang Wall. Next, walk in an easterly direction to jump off the cliffside. Then walk into the cliffside hole where you’ll find the Miasma. Note that this is one of the Miasma locations you’ll be directed to clear on Chenyu’s “Blessings of Sunken Jade” questline.

East of Chizhang Wall

To find this Genshin Impact Miasma location, head to the Teleport Waypoint east of Chizhang Wall nearer to Yaodie Valley. Then walk south from there to find the Miasma location. Alternatively, go to the Teleport Way at Mt. Xuanlian. Walk in a northerly direction and climb the cliffside to reach the Miasma from there.

East of Chiwang Terrace

You can find this one directly east of Chiwang Terrace. Note that you can only reveal Chiwang Terrace on the map by playing through the Blessings of Sunken Jade questline. It becomes accessible when you purify the Chenyu Vale soil with Adeptus Fujin. You’ll be directed to clear this Genshin Impact Miasma on your way to Chiwang Terrace.

Check Out the Interactive Genshin Impact Map

If you still can’t find those Genshin Impact Miasma locations above, check out this interactive map page. That interactive map is a comprehensive companion tool that shows puzzle chest locations across the Genshin Impact game. Select Miasma locations on that map to see where they are in Chenyu Vale.

How to Clear the Genshin Impact Miasma Locations

You’ve got to be ready for combat to clear the Genshin Impact Miasma locations. All the Miasma locations are intense multi-stage combat trials, like Sumeru’s Saghira Machines. First, make sure you’re well stocked on food items with which to replenish health and revive characters.

When you reach a Miasma-corrupted zone, focus on eliminating the leader marked by a glowing blue elemental orb. Killing off the leader also eliminates the rest of the wave. With the leader defeated, a prompt will appear telling you to activate the regional mechanic. Unleash your Adeptal Energy directly at the corrupted root.

That will trigger a second stage of new, stronger enemies to clear. Eliminate all the enemies that the Miasma throws at you. When you’ve killed the final elite leader, utilize your Adeptal Energy to purify the final branch.

Thereafter, the environmental fog will disappear, and a Precious or Luxurious Chest will appear. Crack open the chest to receive the loot. You’ll receive Primogems, Adventure EXP, Sigils, and Mora from clearing the Miasma locations.

So, it’s worth purifying all the Genshin Impact Miasma locations above for the loot you’ll get from them. I recommend playing through the Chenyu’s Blessings of Sunken Jade questline to find some of them. Then you can find all remaining Miasma beyond that questline at the locations covered above.
