10 of the Best Seabase Modules to Fabricate in Subnautica: Below Zero

Building a seabase is crucial to completing Subnautica: Below Zero. There are many modules you can add to seabases. However, you should focus your resources on fabricating the best modules rather than superfluous ones. These are some of the best seabase modules you can fabricate in Subnautica: Below Zero.

Moonpool

Moonpool is one of the best structural modules you can build in Below Zero. This structural module serves as a huge underwater bay for docking vehicles. It enables you to automatically recharge the Prawn Suit and Seatruck, which saves you from needing to recharge their Power Cells. Another great thing about the Moonpool is that it offers enough space to be a seabase because you can add most essential internal modules. Fabricating a Moonpool is a quick and easy way to set up a seabase without hatches.

Multipurpose Room

The Multipurpose Room is a standard-sized room that’s the best cornerstone for base layouts. One Multipurpose Room alone offers enough space to set up a suitable smaller base that can get you through the game. This is one of the best Subnautica: Below Zero modules to fabricate because of its flexibility, as you can connect two or more Multipurpose Rooms for an expanded base.

Modification Station

The Modification Station is an interior seabase module with which you can upgrade survival tools, vehicle modules, and personal equipment. This module is essential because it enables you to upgrade equipment to superior variants. For example, you’ll need it to fabricate gear like the Thermo Blade and Swim Charge Fins. It enables you to upgrade vehicle depths, which is crucial for further exploration.

Battery Charger

Handheld tools are vital lifelines in Subnautica: Below Zero, but they all run on standard batteries. To save yourself from crafting more and more batteries, add a Battery Charger to your seabase. Then you can recharge existing batteries rather than craft more, which saves resources.

Power Cell Recharger

If you don’t have a Moonpool, add a Power Cell Recharger to your seabase instead. This will enable you to recharge Power Cells for your vehicles, which can save a lot of fabricating. Adding one to your seabase will ensure your vehicles never get stranded in dark depths.

Bed

A bed might not be the most essential of Subnautica: Below Zero modules. However, it’s not a merely cosmetic addition. Below Zero has night cycles that can make it harder to find resources. You can skip the night cycles altogether by sleeping in the bed. A bed also halts hunger and hydration depletion when you sleep in it.

Solar Panel

Energy is essential for your Subnautica: Below Zero seabase. Adding Solar Panels is the easiest and most convenient way to power your base, as long as it’s not too deep. You can add many Solar Panels to a seabase’s roof, which will usually be enough to energize your base regardless of regular night cycles. You can also connect Solar Panels with Power Transmitters, enabling you to place them away from seabases.

Bioreactor

If you build a seabase in deeper sea, solar panels might not be enough to power it. A Bioreactor is the best energy source in Below Zero. Below Zero is full of organic items, such as fish fuel, plants, and flora, that you can stuff in a Bioreactor to power your base. You can also set up a self-sustaining energy loop by combining a Bioreactor with an indoor grow bed for Preston’s Delight and Lantern Fruit.

Reinforcements

Adding hatches, windows, and corridors to your seabase reduces its structural integrity. Bases flood when structural integrity drops below zero. So, Reinforcements are essential if you’re planning on building a larger seabase. To prevent flooding, don’t forget to add some Reinforcements to your seabase whenever you significantly expand it.

Locker

Lockers are the most essential modules to add to seabases in Below Zero. The more lockers you have, the more materials you can store for fabricating everything you need. Larger 6 x 8 Wall Lockers are the best to fabricate for sheer storage volume. Wall Lockers also have custom labels, which can come in handy for organizing materials.

You can establish the ultimate Subnautica: Below Zero stronghold by fabricating the seabase modules above. So, make sure you invest the time to scan those fragments and harvest the resources for constructing seabase modules. Of course, there are many other modules you can add, but prioritize fabricating the ones above to get you through the game.
