How to beat Elite Pet Leader 2 in Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure

Last time, we walked you through how to defeat Elite Pet Leader 1 in Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure, a tough opponent built around powerful Bug-type pets and the dangerous Leaf Bird. If you’ve cleared that hurdle and are ready for the next challenge, it’s time to prepare for Elite Pet Leader 2.

How to Beat Elite Pet Leader 2

Just like before, the most important rule is simple: patience.

Since you can’t use duplicate pets against Elite Pet Leaders, you’ll need to build a well-rounded roster with strong HP across multiple pet types. This process takes time, often as long as or longer than completing a Rebirth, so don’t expect quick results.

To make the grind more manageable:

  • Turn on Auto-Hatch, which is located next to the egg platforms.
  • Multitask while farming to avoid burnout.
  • Check in regularly to prevent AFK timeout.

Best Strategy for Elite Pet Leader 2

Elite Pet Leader 2 primarily uses Wild-type pets, along with a powerful Thunder Bird. This makes Bug, Water, and Mythic-type pets your best counters.

However, Mythic pets are the real key to this fight. While Bug and Water types deal strong damage, they struggle against Thunder Bird because they take super-effective damage from it. Mythic pets offer better survivability and more consistent performance across the entire battle.

Top Mythic Pets to Farm

Ninja (Mythic)

  • 4% drop chance from the Easy Crystal Event.
  • 2.3% chance from the Legendary Egg, which unlocks in Area 31 and can be opened every three minutes.
  • Grants 500 HP per release.
  • Aim for around 10,000 HP before the fight.

Avoid combining regular Ninjas into White Ninjas if your goal is to beat the Elite Pet Leaders. As cool as the White Ninja looks, you’ll need the HP gained from releasing duplicate Ninjas.

Unicorn (Mythic)

  • 1% chance from the Area 32 egg.
  • Costs 15 No per hatch.
  • Grants 500 HP per release.
  • Target 10,000 HP or more.

Big Reaper (Mythic)

  • 30% chance from a Rebirth Egg.
  • Requires a Rebirth ticket.
  • Grants 5,000 HP per release.
  • One of the fastest ways to scale Mythic HP if you have Rebirth tickets available.

P3-T Droid (Mythic)

  • Less than 2% chance from the Free Egg, which appears every 15 minutes.
  • Grants 750 HP per release.
  • Since it comes from a free egg, it is always worth trying for.

Alien

  • This one requires some patience to obtain, as the Alien pet has only a 0.1% chance of hatching from its egg.
  • The egg that can hatch the Alien pet is only unlocked after collecting all 30 Paw Icons scattered throughout the map.
  • The Alien is also one of the cooler-looking pets in the game, featuring a green extraterrestrial riding in a flying saucer.

Best Eggs to Farm for Elite Pet Leader 2

Area 33 Egg

  • Costs 20 No per hatch.
  • Has a 34% chance to hatch Candy Spider, a useful Bug-type pet.
  • Has a 1% chance to hatch Baby Whale, a strong Water-type pet.
  • Also gives you plenty of Candy Monkey pets, which can be farmed to more than 20,000 HP.

Candy Monkey is especially useful because Wild-type pets deal neutral damage to one another. It may not be super effective, but its high HP makes it a solid backup option.

Area 34 Egg

  • Costs 25 No per hatch.
  • Has a 74% chance to hatch Candy Ladybug.
  • Candy Ladybug is a Bug-type pet that can be farmed efficiently to around 30,000 HP before its 20 HP release gains start to feel less worthwhile.

Area 31 Egg

  • Costs 10 No per hatch.
  • Has a 1% chance to hatch Axolotl, a Water-type pet.
  • Also lets you farm Candy Dog and Candy Cat, which are useful for future Elite Pet Leader fights.

Butterfly Farming

  • Yellow Butterfly has a 10% chance from the Area 16 egg, which costs 50 Qa.
  • Yellow Butterfly also has a 15% chance from the Area 26 egg, which costs 500 Sp.
  • Yellow Butterfly can be farmed to more than 10,000 HP fairly quickly.
  • Rainbow Butterfly variants grant 1,000 HP per release.

Because the Area 16 and Area 26 eggs are cheaper than many late-game eggs, Yellow Butterfly can be a practical way to build another useful Bug-type option without spending as much time farming higher-tier currencies.

Additional Useful Pets

Some rarer pets can also help against Elite Pet Leader 2, especially if you already have them in your roster.

  • Christmas Tree: A Bug-type pet with around 30,000 base HP.
  • Guard: A Water-type pet with less than a 2% chance from the 15-minute Free Egg. It grants 750 HP per release.
  • Scorpion: Obtained from defeating Pet Leaders and grants 2,500 HP per release.
  • Shark: Obtained from defeating Pet Leaders and grants 2,500 HP per release.

Scorpion and Shark are especially worth considering because you should already have access to them by the time you’re attempting Elite Pet Leader 2. If you’re willing to farm previous Pet Leaders repeatedly, both can become strong support options thanks to their high HP release value.

Final Tips for Beating Elite Pet Leader 2

Elite Pet Leader 2 is a major step up in difficulty, so success comes down to preparation. Focus on building a strong Mythic core with pets like Ninja, Unicorn, Big Reaper, and P3-T Droid, then supplement your team with high-HP Bug and Water types.

Don’t rush the grind. With enough patience, smart egg farming, and the right mix of pets, you’ll be able to defeat Elite Pet Leader 2 and move one step closer to conquering Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure.

Ninja Gaiden was my rite of passage at an early age. After finally beating that game (and narrowly dodging carpal tunnel) I decided to write about my gaming exploits. These days I enjoy roguelikes and anything Pokemon but I'll always dust off Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong Country and StarFox 64 from time to time to bask in their glory.
