Borderlands: Mad Moxxi cosplay by Daria Rooz

When you think of iconic comic book or video game cosplays where the cosplayer has completely outdone themselves and created a portrayal that is so well done that they become inextricably linked with said character whenever they’re mentioned, there are only a handful of cosplayers/portrayals that come to mind. Enji Night as Lara Croft from Tomb Raider is one such example. Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite by Ormeli is another.

You can go ahead and add Daria Rooz’ portrayal of Mad Moxxi from the Borderlands series to that list. The sultry, yet sadistic and dangerous hostess of the Colosseum matches in the Underdome, and owner of multiple bars in Pandora, Moxxi is known for her unique and striking appearance within the Borderlands universe. She wears thick, white face paint, a top hat, a form-fitting double-breasted red tailcoat with vertical stripe patterns, black, fingerless gloves and fishnet stockings. In the following Mad Moxxi cosplay, Daria Rooz captures the striking look of the character and then some.
