Sledge is an operator in Rainbow Six Mobile who can, quite literally, smash through enemy defences. The Sledge R6 operator offers serious environmental destruction for attacking players to exploit. He’s the quintessential soft breacher with whom you can open up soft walls and ceiling hatches for attacking teams. So, let’s explore Sledge’s loadout here.
Primary Weapon
The L85A2 Assault Rifle is the primary weapon for the Sledge R6 operator. This gun is renowned for its stable recoil and high stability, which enhances its accuracy. However, the L85A2 has a slower fire rate than other assault rifles. So, his primary weapon is better suited to long- and mid-range engagements rather than close-quarters gunfights.

Secondary Weapon
The SMG-11 Machine Pistol is Sledge’s secondary weapon. That’s a machine pistol with a very high rate of fire. The SMG-11 is a gun with high damage-per-second output but also has erratic vertical kick. To make this gun more manageable, try attaching a Flash Handler.

Sledge’s Breaching Hammer
The Sledge R6 operator has a Breaching Hammer for smashing through soft (wooden) walls. This is a simple large hammer with which you can walk up to non-reinforced walls, ceiling hatches, or barricades and smash holes in them. You can also destroy Castle’s armored panels with the Breaching Hammer.
Another thing to note about the Breaching Hammer is that the game treats it as explosive damage. Utilizing the Breaching Hammer destroys barbed wire, deployable shields, and bulletproof cameras.

Sledge’s Frag Grenade
Frag Grenade is the secondary gadget for the Sledge R6 operator. The Frag Grenade inflicts lethal damage on enemies by exploding shortly after you throw it. So, this can be an effective weapon for killing opponents and destroying defensive traps around doors and windows.
Sledge’s Stats
Sledge’s stats show that he’s a heavily armored but slow-moving operator. He’s also an operator with good range for mid- to long-range engagements. These are the Sledge R6 operator statistics:
- Difficulty: 1/3
- Range: 4/5
- Speed: 1/3
- Armor: 3/3

Tips for Playing as the Sledge R6 Operator
To maximize the Sledge R6 operator, embrace vertical attacks. This means hammering open non-reinforced ceiling hatches above objective areas. Alternatively, you can hammer open wooden floorboards to expose metallic structural beams. Doing this will create top-down openings to attack defenders from above. If you crack open a ceiling hatch, try throwing a few Frag Grenades down at defenders in the room below.
However, you’ll need firm map knowledge to know where the ceiling hatches directly above objective areas are. Rainbow Six Mobile includes Map Training that enables you to freely explore maps. So, try exploring the maps in the Map Training mode to find the best ceiling hatches for launching vertical attacks over objective areas.
Try crouching when swinging at walls with the Breaching Hammer. Crouching will make a hole that you can walk through. Then you can walk through the hole without vaulting.

As Sledge has 25 swings per round, the Breaching Hammer has relatively unrestricted usage. So, there’s no need to preserve its swings by utilizing your gun for blowing through barricades. You can save ammunition by knocking barricades down with the Breach Hammer.
Sledge is an operator more effective at longer distances. So, try engaging more enemies from longer distances outside objective areas with your L85A2 Assault Rifle. Switch to his SMG-11 Machine Pistol for close-quarters gunfights within objective areas.
Make the most of Sledge’s Frag Grenades by tossing them through doors and windows into objective areas where enemies lurk. Even if the defenders evade them, you’ll probably destroy some gadgets by tossing Frag Grenades into objective areas. Or you might at least inflict damage on defenders with Frag Grenades, which can increase assists.

How to Counter the Sledge R6 Operator
To counter the Sledge R6 Operator, reinforce as many soft walls as you can around objective areas. Reinforce the most important soft wall entry points to prevent Sledge from breaching them. You can also restrict Sledge’s vertical attacks by reinforcing ceiling hatches. So, check the upper floors above objective areas to find and reinforce ceiling hatches.
The best way to counter Sledge’s Frag Grenades is to play as Jäger. When playing as Jäger, you can place Active Defense System gadgets on walls. Placing ADS gadgets will destroy incoming Frag Grenades that cross their paths.

Jäger is also a potent operator for roaming. If you play as a roamer, you might sometimes intercept Sledge on the floor areas above objective areas. So, try guarding those ceiling hatches with Jäger.
Overall, the Sledge R6 operator is one of the most potent soft breachers alongside Ash. He’s an operator you can use to manipulate maps and create attacking openings for your team to exploit. If you master the fundamentals of map destruction, you can unleash a lot of damage when playing as the Sledge R6 operator.
