Wamai is a relatively new addition to the Rainbow Six Mobile operator roster, introduced during the Operation Silent Descent season. He’s an operator who brings a unique form of projectile denial to Rainbow Six Mobile. Playing as the Wamai R6 operator in Rainbow Six enhances your team’s grenade protection. So, let’s have a closer look at his loadout below.
Primary Weapon
The Wamai R6 operator has an AUG A2 Assault Rifle for his primary weapon. The AUG A2 is a medium-to-long-range weapon with which Wamai can hold tight angles and lock down objective areas. This gun has minimal recoil and good accuracy, but its base damage is relatively moderate compared to other assault rifles. To increase its firepower damage, add the Wallbuster Bullets internal weapon attachment to the AUG A2.

Secondary Weapon
The D-50 pistol is a secondary weapon for the Wamai R6 operator. That’s a high-damage secondary revolver that can eliminate an opponent with a couple of precise shots. It’s also a revolver with manageable recoil, especially with the Muzzle Break attachment. However, this gun’s ammunition load is limited, which restricts usage.

Wamai’s Mag-NET System
The Mag-NET System is the signature gadget for the Wamai R6 operator in Rainbow Six Mobile. A Mag-NET is a throwable electronic disc that sticks to walls, ceilings, and almost any other solid surface. It has a 3.5-metre radius for intercepting grenades and other projectiles thrown near it. The Mag-NET System halts projectiles’ trajectories by pulling them toward its discs and detonates them.
Note that the Wamai R6 operator doesn’t start matches with a full inventory of Mag-NET System discs. He starts with one, and the Mag-NET discs recharge every 20 seconds. You can utilize five Mag-NET System discs per round in Rainbow Six Mobile.

Wamai’s Impact Grenade
The Wamai R6 operator has two Impact Grenades for each round. Those explosive grenades immediately detonate upon surface contact. So, they’re harder for enemies to dodge than Frag Grenades with precise throws.
Wamai’s Stats
Wamai’s stats highlight that he’s one of the most balanced operators in Rainbow Six Mobile. He’s an operator with reasonable armor protection, speed, and range. These are the stats for the Wamai R6 operator:
- Difficulty: 2/3
- Range: 3/5
- Speed: 2/3
- Armor: 2/3

Tips for Playing as the Wamai R6 Operator
The Wamai R6 operator is best suited for the defensive anchor role in Rainbow Six Mobile. Staying within objective areas enables you to better exploit his Mag-NET System. To maximize his defensive utility, you must survive longer by defending deeply as an anchor rather than a roamer who primarily plays outside objective areas. Roamers usually get killed sooner when trying to eliminate attackers outside objective areas.
Space out Wamai’s Mag-NET System discs. If you place two Mag-NET System discs right next to each other, a projectile intercepted by one will also destroy the other. So, try to keep them clearly apart around doors and window entrances.
Mag-NET System discs are easier to spot on walls. To make them harder for enemies to see, try throwing some at ceilings. Make sure they are out of sightlines above objective area doorways and windows attackers might try to push through.

Mag-NET System discs can protect Deployable Shields placed inside or near doors. Attackers will often try to destroy Deployable Shields with projectiles. However, a Mag-NET System disc near a Deployable Shield will intercept grenades and other explosive projectiles thrown at it.
Although Wamai’s Impact Grenades can be a potent weapon against attackers, they can also come in handy for setting up rotation holes between bomb sites. Try chucking an Impact Grenade at a soft wall between two objective areas to blow a hole in it. Then you and your teammates can switch between objective areas by moving through the rotation hole.

How to Counter the Wamai R6 Operator
The best way to counter the Wamai R6 operator is to play as Thatcher or Twitch. Twitch has Shock Drones with which you can destroy up to six Mag-NET System discs. Shock Drones can also help you spot better-hidden Mag-NET System discs.
Alternatively, you can temporarily disable Mag-NET System discs by chucking Thatcher’s EMP Grenades in front of doors or windows. However, don’t throw his EMP Grenades through the doors or windows. If you do, Mag-NET System discs will probably intercept them.

You can destroy Mag-NET discs simply by shooting at them. So, keep an eye out for Mag-NET discs when pushing into objective areas. If you see any Mag-NET discs, don’t forget to blast them away.
The Wamai R6 operator is one of the best Jäger alternatives in Rainbow Six Mobile. If you prefer to play as an anchor defender rather than a roamer, Wamai is a preferable alternative to Jäger. You can derail attacks by placing his Mag-NETs in unpredictable places that will nullify incoming enemy projectiles.
