Ryuu Lavitz is a cosplayer who recently came to our attention due to her Gajinka Magikarp from Pokemon cosplay, one which was both hilarious and ridiculously well-crafted at the same time.
When we went through the rest of her cosplay gallery we were surprised to find out that not only can Ryuu pull off staple video game cosplays such as Tifa Lockhart from Final Fantasy or Samus Aran from Metroid — she can also put together creative, so crazy they work cosplays like Symbiote Bowsette, which is an amalgam of Venom and the Super Crown; the aforementioned Magikarp Gijinka, which sees her wearing a Magikarp head atop her costume; and Bob-Omb/Bombette from Super Mario.
Ryuu Lavitz’s creativity and cute look combine to make her a knockout one-two punch in the world of cosplaying. The following are some of our favorite Ryuu Lavitz video game and comic book cosplays.

Symbiote Bowsette (Venom + Super Crown mashup
Female Nightwing (Batman)

Ninja Gaiden was my rite of passage at an early age. After finally beating that game (and narrowly dodging carpal tunnel) I decided to write about my gaming exploits. These days I enjoy roguelikes and anything Pokemon but I'll always dust off Super Mario RPG, Donkey Kong Country and StarFox 64 from time to time to bask in their glory.
