Farlight 84 is a fast and furious battle royale game for mobile devices and PC. It is a team-oriented battle royale blaster that drops 20 teams of three players (60 in total) to fight it out against each other on the Sunder Realms or Nextara maps until only one remains. Farlight 84 is very different from PUBG and Fortnite because players can select to play as different hero characters with unique abilities, which gives the game a bit more variety. Here are some tips for emerging victorious in the Farlight 84 mobile and PC game.
Stick Together
Farlight 84 is primarily about squad play, so don’t play like it’s a solo battle royale when your teammates are still in matches. If you land somewhere on the map far from your teammates at the start of a match, you’re at much more risk of enemy teams swamping you. So, it’s best to follow your teammates when dropping onto the map, or at least land somewhere reasonably close to them, so you can fight close to your squad.
Use the Ping System to Highlight Enemies and Items for Teammates
The ping system is one of the best ways to communicate with teammates in the Farlight 84 mobile and PC game (players don’t always speak the same language with voice chat enabled). It enables you to highlight target areas to move, enemy positions (by double-tapping in Farlight 84 mobile), and good items you don’t want your teammates to pick up. I always appreciate playing alongside players who use the ping system for highlighting enemies spotted and useful items. So, make the most of pinging to enhance squad communication.
Climb Ropes to Gain an Elevation Advantage
You’ll notice there are plenty of ropes on the Nextara and Sunder Realms maps. Those ropes are there to enable you to reach higher areas on those maps. Higher areas give you an elevation advantage because they enable you to see more of the map and shoot down on opponents. It’s usually easier to kill enemies when you’re shooting down on them. So, climb the ropes with regularity to ‘stay on top’ of matches.
However, you don’t always need to climb ropes to gain an elevation advantage. Moving on top of small building roofs can often be sufficient. You can get on top of lower buildings by walking up their walls with characters.
Retreat to Respawners When Teammates Are Downed
When your teammates are knocked down during gunfights, trying to revive them with enemies about can be very risky. The best thing to do in such situations is usually to retreat from the gunfights (when you can) and let the enemy finish off your crawling teammates. Then, check your map and retreat to a Respawner in a safer location to revive your teammates ASAP. Do not try to fight off enemy teams on your own when you can avoid them.
Use Cover for Gunfights
Cover is crucial to survival in most battle royale shooters, and Farlight 84 is no exception. Try to stay close to building walls and rocks when fighting enemies so you can duck behind them if you take too much damage. Then, you can heal yourself behind the cover position. I also recommend using strafing moves from cover positions to make yourself a harder target to hit.
If you’re playing as Duckside, make the most of his Travel Barrier ability to give you cover when caught out in the open. Travel Barrier generates a large barrier that gives you some cover for a short time. That ability can come in handy when you’re caught in more exposed positions.
Equip Guns for Shorter and Longer Range Gunfights
Picking up guns for shorter and longer-range gunfights will make you better equipped for winning Farlight 84 matches in different situations. Submachine guns like the Vector, UMP99, and Uzi are better suited for close-quarter gunfights with their rapid firing rates. Sniper or assault rifles are better for long-range gunfights because you can add higher magnification scopes to them. So, pick up a submachine to carry alongside an assault or sniper rifle alternative with which to eliminate opponents from greater distances.
Attack Enemies With Flank Fire
When engaged in gunfights alongside your teammates, try to flank enemies. To do so, you must move into different positions from your teammates so you can open fire on enemies from an alternative direction. Getting shot at from multiple directions is always one of the hardest things to play against in battle royale shooters. So, try to maneuver into positions where you can attack enemies from the sides and rear, relative to where your teammates are shooting from.
Practice Headshots
Headshots inflict somewhat more damage on opponents in Farlight 84, as in most third and first-person shoot ’em ups. Better headshot accuracy will probably enhance your kill rate in Farlight 84 matches. So, it’s worth setting aside some practice to enhance your headshot proficiency in the Farlight 84 mobile and PC game. The Training Grounds and Bots Training modes in Farlight 84 are good places to practice headshooting against moving bot targets.
Get Moving with the Rat Cannons and Megarails
Rat Cannons and Megarails are new map mobility features introduced in Farlight 84’s August relaunch update. Megarails are zip lines you can hook up with to move to different parts of the map. The Rat Cannons are, as their names suggest, cannons that enable you to blast your hero up into the air for a movement boost. Both of those features can come in handy for staying in the safe zone when the ring is closing on you. So, make the most of Rat Cannons and Megarails to give yourself a movement boost whenever needed.
I’ve won many battle royale matches in the Farlight 84 mobile game because I stuck to the tips above. Better teamplay, map positioning, shooting accuracy, and weapon selection will enhance your victory chances in Farlight 84. Good luck and have fun playing Farlight 84.
