When you’ve completed Death Stranding, you’ve saved the world from extinction. However, there is still quite a lot you can do in Death Stranding after completing the game’s main story. The game transitions to an Episode 15 time rewind shortly before the presidential inauguration, as seen in the ending sequence. That is a free-roam Death Stranding postgame in which you can satisfy your full completionism goals. These are some of the things you can do in Death Stranding after completing the game.
Check Out the Nightmares and Memories
When you’ve completed Death Stranding, all story-related encounters will be unlocked and available for replay in the Nightmares and Memories section of the private room. Go inside a private room and check out the green plastic figures along your bed to access the Nightmares and Memories. Then, you can select to replay your favorite boss fights, watch your favorite Cliff Unger moments again, or compete in special Ranked Nightmare events during the Death Stranding postgame.

Enter Peter Englert’s Bunker
The first thing you should do in the Death Stranding postgame is enter a secret part of Peter Englert’s bunker. That is, in fact, the bunker of Higgs, which has a secret room you access during the postgame. To do so, read the Higgs message. You’ll receive a message asking you to deliver a pizza. Go to the First Prepper station to pick up the pizza delivery and deliver the cargo at Peter Englert’s bunker in the far north of the map.
Delivering the pizza cargo opens a door to a secret room in Peter Engler’s bunker. Walk through that door to enter the lair of Higgins. That room includes the path to access Amelie’s Beach and a holographic Pharaoh’s mask. There, you can have a good look through the notice board of Higgs and pick up a memory chip.

Build the Racetrack
If you haven’t already built the racetrack, then that’s something you should do in the Death Stranding postgame. You can build a race track at the auto-paver just south of Timefall Farm with 450 metals, 450 ceramics, and 130 Chiral Crystals. Building that track enables you to complete timed races with various vehicles for some extra fun in the Death Stranding postgame.
Find All the Hidden Preppers
There are 36 prepper stations you can connect to the UCA Chiral Network in Death Stranding. However, six of those are hidden prepper stations that the game’s main stories don’t direct you to. Ludens Fan, Collector, Musician, Novelist’s Son, First Prepper, and Veteran Porter are the six secret preppers in the game. If you haven’t found all six of those hidden prepper stations, then that’s something else you can do in the Death Stranding postgame to complete the Chiral Network. To find them, check out this interactive map that shows the locations of all prepper stations in Death Stranding.
Complete Ranked Orders
Ranked Orders are one of the new features included in Director’s Cut that are worth exploring in the Death Stranding postgame. They are timed missions you can complete for rewards, with your completion times ranked against those of other players. You can select complete ranked nightmares (also available in the Nightmares and Memories of the private room), ranked drills (from the weapon testing range), and delivery training. To access those missions, select the Ranked Order section of the cufflink.

Find all the Cyberpunk 2077 Gear
Death Stranding includes six Cyberpunk 2077 crossover items. If you’ve haven’t already obtained all the Cyberpunk 2077 gear, then that’s something you can do during the Death Stranding postgame. To find the gear, read the messages from Your Partner J with the V in their subject lines. Those messages drop the required hints for finding the required cargo. These are the six Cyberpunk 2077 items you can find:
- V-Facial Pattern
- Silver Hand
- Holograms
- Compass Upgrades
- Hacking Abilities
- Yaiba Kusanagi

Find all the Half-Life Gear
There are also six Half-Life items you can find in Death Stranding by completing the required missions for them. Many players will probably overlook those Half-Life missions before completing the game. Thus, the Death Stranding postgame is the ideal time to obtain all the Half-Life crossover items. Our Half-Life crossover guide article tells you how players can find those HL items in Death Stranding.

Reach the Great Deliver Porter Grade
Death Stranding has a porter grade system that evaluates your deliveries every time you deliver cargo. Those delivery scores contribute to your overall porter grade. True completionists aim to complete “The Great Deliverer” achievement by reaching 60 for all five delivery categories: time, condition, volume, bridge link, and miscellaneous. Reaching that milestone in the Death Stranding postgame would amount to a porter grade of about 320, but you can go for The Great Deliverer ++ by reaching level 420. Aiming for such porter rank milestones will certainly keep you busy in the Death Stranding postgame.

Obtain all Memory Chips
Death Stranding includes 56 collectible memory chips that provide lore for real-world music, movies, culture, and other life fragments left behind from the old America that pre-dates the main story events. Most players will probably overlook finding many of those collectible items before completing the game. When you’ve completed Death Stranding, try finding and reading through all the memory chips in the game. The interactive DS map shows the locations of those memory chips.

So, there’s plenty you can do in Death Stranding post-game after game completion. Reaching the Great Deliverer porter grade milestone alone adds lots of extra gameplay to Death Stranding. Finding the Cyberpunk and Half-Life gear and connecting all prepper stations to the Chiral Network will also contribute to your porter grade. You can have even more fun by obtaining the memory chips and completing timed ranked orders.
