Kojima Productions is mostly renowned for its Death Stranding and Metal Gear games. Death Stranding is a unique action-adventure game starring Sam Porter Bridges on a mission to reconnect a post-apocalyptic USA. Kojima does not usually showcase hardware at the Consumer Electronics Show, but CES 2026 was an exception. ROG and Kojima revealed a new Flow Z13-KJP 2-in-1 laptop tablet with a unique Death Stranding theme at CES 2026.
The Flow Z13-KJP 2-in-1 laptop tablet for gaming is the product of a collaboration between ROG and Kojima, showcased in January 2026. For this collaboration, ROG was primarily responsible for the hardware, and Kojima for the aesthetic design. Kojima’s Yoji Shinkawa, the art director, designed the visual identity of the Flow Z13-KJP 2, which is inspired by the Ludens mascot and the Death Stranding game. The result is a 2-in-1 laptop tablet that looks like cargo (or a briefcase) from the Death Stranding game, with a distinctive black and gold color scheme, bold typography, and carbon fiber accents.
Yoji Shinkawa has further explained the aesthetic design of the Flow Z13-KJP. Shinkawa said this: “I wanted to create a gadget that belongs to Ludens, and I integrated that into this PC design. Parts and designs are inspired by Ludens and has its essence.”
The Flow Z13-KJP is a laptop and tablet mixed into one, like the Android Galaxy devices. However, a crucial difference is that the Z13-KJP is based on Windows 11 rather than an Android OS. Thus, players can play Windows PC games on the Z13-KJP 2. With a display size of 13.4 inches, some users might consider the Z13-KJP 2 to be more of a small Windows laptop.
The Flow Z13-KJP also has a touchscreen interface. Its users can detach the magnetic keyboard from the Flow Z13-KJP to turn it into a gaming tablet. However, you cannot play Android mobile games on the Flow Z13-KJP 2 without emulation software, such as BlueStacks, installed.
The Flow Z13-KJP specifications reveal that it is more of a high-end laptop for PC gaming. This 2-in-1 laptop tablet has a very fast AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with a base clock speed of 3 GHz. Its AMD Radeon 8060S GPU is a top-tier integrated graphics card comparable to mid-range dedicated alternatives. With 128 gigabytes of RAM and one terabyte of SSD storage to boot, the Flow Z13-KJP offers some serious portable gaming.
ROG has not yet confirmed the pricing for the Flow Z13-KJP. There will be a non-themed version of the Flow Z13-KJP, which will likely be cheaper than the more collectible, limited edition Kojima one. ROG is expected to release the Flow Z13-KJP in a mid-to-late 2026 quarter-one launch date.
So, the Flow Z13-KJP 2-in-1 laptop tablet is a serious gaming PC for players to play the latest and best Windows 11 games. However, it offers greater portable flexibility with its detachable keyboard and tablet mode. The Kojima theme also gives the Z13-KJP a unique design that Death Stranding fans will love.
