Some PC games can have enthralling single-player campaigns that last for about 15 to 20 hours. However, the true mark of a gaming masterpiece is its replayability value. A video game with an appealing solo campaign that only lasts a two or three weeks will offer little in the way of replay value. The truly great games are those with lasting appeal that you can play for years on end. These are eight great PC games with excellent replay value.
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been the gold standard of Windows PC RPGs since 2016. One of the great things about The Witcher 3 is its excellent replayability value, as the game includes about 36 different ending variations. It might take you about 40 hours to complete the single-player campaign once, but then you can play through it 10 more times to see different endings by selecting alternative dialogue choices.

Even if you don’t play through Witcher 3’s single-player campaign again, there’s still much you can do beyond it. The base Witcher 3 game includes hundreds of side quests for players to complete. Completing all those remaining side quests alone will take many months, if not longer. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has three large maps to explore, with many secrets to discover. Plus, you can add additional free content to The Witcher 3 with mods.
Fortnite
Fortnite is one of the great PC games primarily because it’s one of the most dynamic battle royale titles. What sets it apart from other battle royale games is its ever-evolving map, with regular chapter updates that completely overhaul it. Thus, the Fortnite map never goes stale, and it’s always exciting returning to Fortnite every few months to check out the new chapter content.

However, don’t forget there’s a lot more to Fortnite than its standard battle royale mode. Even if you do get bored with Fortnite battle royale, you can always check out some of its other game modes, such as Ballistic, Lego Fortnite: Odyssey, Blitz, and Rocket Racing. Alternatively, you can play thousands of user-generated games and content via Fortnite Creative Mode.
Football Manager 2024
Football Manager 2024 is the best footie manager simulator that’s more of a lifestyle than a game, with almost infinite replayability value. This game includes hundreds of domestic leagues and thousands of clubs. Thus, you can replay this game a hundred times over to win different divisions with alternative clubs! First, conquer Europe with some of the bigger clubs, and then have a go at getting lower league teams promoted to top divisions.

Baldur’s Gate III
Baldur’s Gate III is one of the best RPGs because it’s a game that offers considerable freedom of choice with a huge branching narrative. It features thousands of cutscene variations, dialogue choices, and variable world states determined by the choices of players. With seven origin characters to choose from, Baldur’s Gate III invites at least several playthroughs alone. Playing as different characters shifts the narrative in Baldur’s Gate III, with broadly five main endings to see. Few, if any, other RPGs in history have offered as much replayability value as Baldur’s Gate III.
Civilization 6
Civilization 6 is one of the best turn-based strategy games for Windows PCs because of the great variety of victory conditions and civilizations it includes. The base game has 18 civilizations you can play as for securing five variable victory conditions. However, the number of distinct civilizations to choose from increases to over 50 with additional DLCs like Gathering Storm, Rise and Fall, and scenario pack content. With a scoring system (Hall of Fame) and multiplayer mode to boot, Civilization 6 has almost everlasting replayability value.

Minecraft
Minecraft is one of the great PC games in history because of its sandbox freedom and massive community that continues to sustain it with an endless stream of mods, custom maps, and server mini-games. A regular stream of content updates from Mojang also keeps the Minecraft universe fresh. As an open-ended sandbox game, Minecraft offers almost infinite creative and exploration possibilities within procedurally generated worlds. With many adaptable playstyles and considerable multiplayer flexibility, Minecraft’s replayability value is huge.
Cities Skylines
Cities: Skylines is the best open-ended city-building simulation that enables players to build the cities of their dreams. As a sandbox game, the Cities: Skylines replayability value is almost infinite. For many Skylines players, the primary goal will be to build massive cities that fill up whole maps. As those maps are large, building a city that fills one of them alone will take a long time. The base game includes 12 maps to fill, each of which has different climates and varied terrains. With 14-15 major DLC expansions for Cities: Skylines, players can also get stuck into lots of additional content beyond the base game.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is one of the great PC games for replayability because of the huge world map, two alternative protagonists, multiple endings, and substantial quest content it includes. It’s a very big game with three primary family, Atlantis, and Cult of Kosmos questlines that take a long time to complete. However, players can also play through the family questline nine times to see all its variable endings. Beyond that, there are hundreds of side missions players can play after completing the main story quests. With additional community-created quests and a huge map to explore on top, the fun never ends in AC Odyssey.

Those games offer replayability value that few others can match. They are great PC games that have an enduring appeal, which you can play for many years without getting bored. If you prefer to play games that last for years, those are eight titles that are certainly worth noting.
