Epic Gives Civilization 6 Platinum Edition Away for One Week

Civilization is one of the best turn-based strategy game series for Windows PC and consoles. That game franchise that has had several primary instalments, with Firaxis releasing the latest Civ 7 addition in 2025. Epic is giving away the Civilization VI Platinum Edition for a week from July 17 to 24.

Civilization VI Platinum Edition is a game package that includes the base Civ 6 game along with its Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm expansions. It also includes six scenario packs for Poland, Australia, Persia, Nubia, Vikings, and Khmer. Those scenario packs include new, pre-defined game modes with additional civilizations for players to play with.

Rise and Fall and Gathering Storm are the primary expansions for the Civilization 6 game. Gathering Storm includes new environmental effects, engineering projects, leaders, a 21st-century tech era, consumable resources, and a World Congress feature. The most notable new features in Rise and Fall are its city governors, loyalty game mechanics, and great ages. With those additional expansions thrown in, this is a game package with fantastic replay value that can keep you entertained for years.

The Civilization VI Platinum Edition package usually retails at about $79.99 on Epic Games. Player reviews for Civilization 6 have also generally been much more positive than those for Civ 7. Civilization 6 remains somewhat higher ranked in Steam’s Most Played chart than Civ 7.
