Battlestate Games Founder Reveals New COR3 Game Video

Battestate Games is the developer behind the hit Escape from Tarkov, released in 2025. Now, an Escape from Tarkov developer has recently revealed he has a new FPS game up his sleeve called COR3. A new COR3 video clip and website have confirmed that Battlestate is heading to the stars with a new sci-fi game in the works.

The Battlestate Games founder added the new COR3 video to YouTube on February 1. What that video reveals is a futuristic first-person shooter game set on what looks like a wrecked city on a colonized Mars, or a similar planet. There is little clear gameplay footage within the video. What it does show is debris and cosmonaut corpses floating in space around the planet, revealing a post-apocalyptic setting.

The COR3 website sheds further light on the backstory for the new game. It reveals that the COR3 game is set in 2251. The background story for the game is based on the CORE, an organization that helped to unite the governments of the world and reverse a tide of destruction.

Yet, the video shows the wreckage of a shattered colony on the planet’s surface and its outer orbit. When the camera zooms out, we can see broken rail tracks and destroyed structures. Thus, it does not appear that the CORE permanently reversed the tide of destruction.

Battlestate has not revealed a huge amount of further details for COR3 beyond what its new video shows us. The early reveals highlight that it will probably be a tactical first-person shooter with weapon customization similar to Escape from Tarkov. Its game world features industrial sci-fi designs and orbital space stations. COR3 might be a futuristic extraction shooter or something different with a single-player campaign.

Nikita Buyanov, the Battlestate Games founder, is the lead developer of COR3, which is registered to him. He was also the visionary for the Tarkov game, who now leads the cryptic COR3 teaser campaign. The CORIE terminal on the COR3 website is a part of that campaign, presenting the lore and background story for the upcoming game.

The COR3 reveal trailer does not confirm a release date for the game. It could be a while before Battlestate fully releases the COR3 game. Escape from Tarkov had an extended beta period, with many updates before Battlestate launched the full release version in late 2025.

So, it will be interesting to see how the COR3 game shapes up, for which there will likely be many more updates from the Battlestate Games founder. Nikita’s official channels and the cor3.gg website will provide the updates. What is now clear is that COR3 has a futuristic, sci-fi setting and will be in the first-person shooter mould.
