8 Good Sniping Spots on the PUBG Erangel Map in New State Mobile

Erangel is the most iconic battleground map in PUBG. New State Mobile includes that map with its basic layout retained and some slight environmental and lighting tweaks. The Erangel map is renowned for its balanced mix of urban and natural landscapes, with hilly terrain, both of which include some great spots for sniping. These are some of the best sniping spots to check out on New State Mobile’s PUBG Erangel map.

The Georgopol Container Cranes

Georgopol is one of the biggest urban landscapes on the PUBG Erangel map that includes three high container in the area along the river circled in the screenshot below. Climbing to the top of one of those cranes will provide you with a great 360-degree view of the surrounding container yard, from which you can shoot down enemies scurrying around Georgopol beneath you. Those containers also provide you with a good view of Georgopol across the river and the two bridges that players frequently cross over.

The High Platform in Sosnovka Military Base

Sosnovka Military Base on the south side of the Enrangel map includes some big structures, among which is the high-metal platform shown in the snapshot below. That platform provides a fantastic view of the surrounding natural landscape along the northern side of Sosnovka, which offers little in the way of cover for potential sniping targets. It also provides a good view of Sosnovka Military Base to the south, where you’ll usually spot some players amassing loot. This metal platform is also quite long and provides plenty of space for sniping maneuvers.

Georgopol Hills

Georgopol Hills is one of the highest natural terrains on the PUBG Erangel map, providing a terrific view of the entire western side of the map from one side, including the road connecting Georgopol with Gatka. This is an ideal spot for sniping down players approaching Georgopol from the north or south. If you head to the eastern side of the Georgopol Hills, you’ll see an equally impressive view of the natural landscape around the Ruins and Water Town. Thus, Georgopol Hills is a very high and large sniping spot that provides great viewpoints for sniping all around it.

Pochinki Church Hill

The western side of Pochinki includes a ruined church building atop a hill. The rooftop of that church provides a classic power position for snipers to exploit. Climbing on that church’s roof gives you clear sightlines over the dense urban area of Pochinki. You’ll often spot player targets moving between buildings and exiting or entering the western side of Pochinki at this sniping spot.

Pochinki Hills

The Pochinki Hills location, circled in the screenshot below, provides a great view of open fields on its western side. From there, you can spot players approaching and exiting Pochinki through open terrain that offers little cover from sniping fire. Alternatively, you can position yourself on the northern side of Pochinki Hills to catch players coming from the School location. Unlike the Pochinki church, these hills represent a larger area where you can gatekeep a more central region of the map from variable vantage points.

Military Base Radio Tower

The military base radio tower directly east of Sosnovka, circled below, is one of the most elevated spots for sniping on the Erangel map. The views from the top of this cliffside are quite spectacular. From there, you can see players entering and exiting the Sosnovka Military Base area. The western side of this sniping spot provides a complete coastline view, where you’ll spot players approaching and exiting Novorepnoye.

Stabler

Stabler is a clearly labelled location in the northeast corner of the Erangel map. This is the highest mountain area on the map that provides a large, elevated area for sniping on its eastern, western, northern, or southern sides. The eastern side gives you a high-ground advantage over Kameshki. Alternatively, you can head further south down Stabler to take up a good sniping position overlooking Yasnaya Polyana. Stabler is a sniping spot that overlooks numerous common rotation paths, enabling snipers to frequently intercept players.

Rozhok Hill

The hill just south of Rozhok, circled in the snapshot below, is one of the most important strategic sniping positions on the Erangel map. Although it’s not especially high, it’s still a good sniping position from which you can monitor player traffic around the School area. Alternatively, you can snip down the player approaching and leaving Rozhok to the north of this hill. A convenient sniping tower is also included here that provides extra elevation.

Those locations on the Erangel map provide some of the best vantage points for eliminating enemies with long-range sniper rifles. When a match starts, head to the best sniper spots where the safe zone circle will more likely close around. Then, have fun sniping to your heart’s content from some of the best sniper positions in Erangel.
