Ghost of Tsushima has garnered high-praise from gamers and critics alike for its amazing visuals, fluidic motion capture performances, riveting cutscenes, well-crafted gameplay, and of course, its reverence and diligence in recreating the ambiance of 13th century Japan.
The Playstation 4 exclusive’s critical acclaim hasn’t been its only success either — Ghost of Tsushima sales have exceeded expectations as well, with Sony reporting that over 6.5 million copies of the game have been sold alongside Thursday’s announcement of a Ghost of Tsushima movie was in the works with Sony Pictures and John Wick director Chad Stahelski.
what makes the Ghost of Tsushima sales success an even more gratifying achievement is the fact that the game’s developers were worried they wouldn’t be able to exude an air of authenticity for the game’s historic Japanese setting, especially in the eyes of Sony Japan, with Sucker Punch being a Western developer tapping a region and atmosphere which wasn’t their natural surroundings.

So what’s next in line for Ghost of Tsushima, besides the recently announced feature film? A Ghost of Tsushima sequel, of course, which is reportedly already under development at Sucker Punch (according to Wccftech.com.
