Per the official press release:

Plus, in honor of the upcoming 20th anniversary of the genre defining Grand Theft Auto III, we’ll have even more fun surprises to share — including some specifically for GTA Online players.

As the above excerpt divulged, Grand Theft Auto V‘s online spinoff, GTA Online will also be making its way to the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platforms with Rockstar promising “new opportunities for fans of performance and customization upgrades to get together with like-minded gearheads to test and show off their rides free from interference from authorities and other troublemakers.” Sony announced that the online version would be free for all PS5 owners during the first three months of the game’s availability.
