8 Tips for Winning Call of Duty: Mobile Battle Royale Matches

Battle Royale is the fight until the last man (or team) standing game mode you can play on Call of Duty: Mobile’s Blackout and Isolated maps. I recently returned to playing this exciting game mode for the first time in years on my tablet. Then, I won five COD: Mobile battle royale matches in a row, albeit at a rookie ranking level. Now, I will share some tips for how you can win more Call of Duty: Mobile battle royale matches.

Crouch When Enemies Are Near

When you know you’re close to an enemy player, try crouching and moving. Crouching considerably reduces your footstep noise, which makes it much harder for enemies to hear your movement and figure out your exact position. Thus, crouching is a good way to approach enemies for surprise attacks. To put it simply, you can rack up more kills when enemies don’t hear you coming.

Try to Stay Close to Cover When Engaging Enemies

It’s also important to use cover when engaging enemies. Try not to shoot at enemies from wide-open areas when you can. Instead, move behind a large rock, tree, or wall (inside or outside buildings) when you sense enemies are near. Then, crouch and wait for the nearby enemies to come to you rather than go for them. Doing this conceals your position, enabling you to jump out and inflict surprise attacks on approaching foes, which can often be fatal. Furthermore, you can also move behind cover again for automatic health replenishment when taking fire from enemies.

Don’t Bother Fighting Bosses

The Butcher is the current boss you can fight on the Call of Duty: Mobile battle royale Isolated map. His position is marked on the map, and you can fight him by walking across the field on the Farm. However, don’t waste time fighting that boss. Sure, you can pick up some high-tier loot by killing him, but there’s always a risk he could beat you. Plus, all your shooting will consume ammunition and give away your position on the map.

A much better alternative way to pick up high-tier loot is to crack open the green crates. Green crates are parachuted ones that occasionally fall from the sky. These crates include top-tier weaponry for you to pick up. It’s certainly better to open those crates for loot than fight a big boss, but you might occasionally encounter competing players approaching them.

Use the Tracker, Scout Class

The Tracker, Scout class is my personal favorite that I recommend selecting for Call of Duty: Mobile battle royale matches. The Recon Dart is a genuinely useful tool that briefly reveals the position of nearby hostiles with red dots on your minimap when activated. Using that tool enables you to check if there are any nearby enemies and highlights their approximate position, which is great for avoiding surprise ambushes. Plus, the Tracker ability also highlights enemy footprints for you to follow.

Check Out the In-Game Map

The in-game map you can open during matches to view your approximate position, is one of the most useful I’ve seen in any battle royale map. This map also shows you where all the green crates land, upgrade stations, and buy station locations. Thus, viewing that map can be very helpful for finding green crates, upgrading stations, and buying stations during matches.

Go Sniping on the Isolated Map

Isolated is a COD: Mobile battle royale map that has lots of elevated landscapes and terrain. Plus, it also includes many high buildings and large-scale structures for you to climb up. Try to make the most of the elevated landscapes and high structures that are great for sniping because they give you good views of the surrounding map.

This doesn’t necessarily mean you must always pick up a sniper rifle during matches, but such guns can certainly be deadly on a map with considerable terrain elevations. Instead, you can also pick up assault rifles and add good scope attachments for targeting enemies from longer distances. Then, try shooting down enemies from elevated positions on the map.

Switch to Your Melee Weapon to Move Faster

The knife is the melee weapon all players are equipped with from the outside in Call of Duty: Mobile battle royale matches. Although the knife isn’t usually very good for killing armed players, it’s the most lightweight weapon in the game. You’ll always move faster when you switch to holding your knife. Try selecting the knife whenever you’re rushing to reach the safe zone area to increase your movement speed.

Don’t Land in Named Locations

My final tip is to avoid landing at named locations when matches start that typically attract more players. Instead, try landing at building clusters scattered around the numerous named locations, which are typically safer landing points where you can avert early dogfights that might sometimes kill you. Small clusters of buildings usually include a satisfactory amount of gear for you to pick up and get started with. Then, move to other building clusters to collect more gear.

I hope my tips above help you win more Call of Duty: Mobile battle royale matches. Those are tips I usually stick to for winning COD: Mobile battle royale matches with some regularity. Good luck in your battle royale matches, and have fun too!
