The next major gold farming zone in Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure will be Area 39, which will require 25 Rebirths and more than 2 De gold to unlock. Since Area 38 introduced Skull Boxes worth 185 No gold each, it would make sense for Area 39 to push that reward even higher, with 200 No gold per box being the most logical choice.
But the bigger question isn’t just how much gold Area 39 will offer — it’s which pets will come with its corresponding Area Egg. With that in mind, here are the Area 39 Egg pets we would most like to see added, along with the ones that would make the most sense for the current state of the game.
Saint Bernard, Dog-type pet
There are already plenty of Dog-type pets in Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure, especially at lower levels, with pets such as the Carmelo, Rottweiler and Dalmatian available from early eggs. However, when it comes to high-DPS Dog-type pets that can also reach major HP totals through releasing, the options are currently much more limited.
Right now, the best choices are the Candy Dog from the Area 43 Egg and the Wolf pet, which can only be obtained by defeating the second Pet Leader. You could technically count the Angel Dog as well, but it is extremely rare and not ideal for HP release farming.
The Candy Dog is a welcome and much-needed addition for taking on endgame Pet Leaders, especially when trying to push Dog-type pets past the 60,000 HP mark and eventually above 100,000 HP, which is needed for the final Pet Leader and the mythic Dragon pet. However, getting a Candy Dog from 60K to 100K HP can be a massive grind, requiring roughly 20,000 Candy Dog hatches.
That is why a new high-HP, endgame Dog-type pet would be such a necessary and appreciated addition to the Area 39 Egg.
My pick? A Saint Bernard.
Saint Bernards are massive dogs in real life, standing nearly two and a half feet tall and weighing up to 180 pounds. That would fit the tanky nature of a high-HP Dog-type pet perfectly. It would also be fun to see Shockmaps translate the breed’s droopy face, floppy ears and oversized frame into the game’s little round pet design.
Also, I really liked the movie Beethoven growing up, which featured a massive, mischievous Saint Bernard running amok in a neighborhood. That feels like exactly the kind of energy a Pet Heroes Adventure Saint Bernard could bring.
Praying Mantis, Bug-type pet
If the special pet from the Area 39 Egg is not a Dog-type, then it should probably be a Bug-type.
Much like the Candy Dog, the Candy Ladybug and Candy Spider are currently available from the highest tier of Area Eggs as of this writing. However, both can be difficult to push beyond the 60K HP mark.
So what would be a cool Bug-type pet that is not already in Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure? A Praying Mantis.
A Praying Mantis pet could have a great design if it featured a bright green color, bulbous insect eyes and, of course, a formidable pair of raptorial forelegs. In other words, give us the tiny praying mantis claws.
Tyrannosaurus Rex, Mythic-type pet
When I was a kid, one of my favorite and most memorable moments in the original Pokemon game (besides leveling a Magikarp into Gyarados) was taking the Old Amber fossil to the scientist on Cinnabar Island and using it to resurrect Aerodactyl, a prehistoric Flying/Rock-type Pokemon based on a pterosaur.
While having a pterosaur pet in Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure would be pretty, ahem, fly, there are already plenty of high-level Flying-type pets in the game. That includes the Candy Parrot, Candy Turkey, Flamingo and the four elemental birds obtained from the Elite Four Pet Leaders.
A few weeks ago, Pet Heroes Adventure held an in-game vote for a “Player Created Pet,” and one of the options was an adorable little T-Rex pet. That one immediately stood out.
Basically, I really want a dinosaur pet in Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure. And what better dinosaur to add to the squad than a high-DPS, adorably ferocious baby T-Rex?
A T-Rex pet would also fit nicely as a Mythic-type pet, which is another category that could use more endgame representation alongside the Unicorn.
If the T-Rex had a 1% hatch rate and gave 500 HP per release, it would feel appropriately special while also making it easier to build past the 60K HP mark in a more reasonable amount of time. That said, it would also be fine as one of the 25% hatch-rate pets, since the game could use a more easily farmed Mythic-type option in the endgame.
Candy Elephant, Wild-type pet
One of the biggest positives from the Area 38 Egg was the Candy Panda, a Wild-type pet that quickly became one of the most important pets in the game for taking on Pet Leaders.
The Candy Panda is strong on its own, but what makes it especially valuable is its high hatch rate from the Area 38 Egg. Previously, Panda pets were much harder to farm, with only a 5% chance to hatch a regular Panda from the Area 7 Egg and a 10% chance to hatch a Panda Warrior from the Area 28 Egg.
Because of that, Rainbow Pandas used to be fairly rare. Accordingly, Pet Heroes Adventure creator Shockmaps made it so that releasing a Rainbow Panda from your collection granted a whopping 2,000 HP.
That changed with the Area 38 Egg, which gave the Candy Panda a 70% hatch chance. Suddenly, getting Rainbow Pandas became much more realistic, and building them up for their 2,000 HP release bonus turned Rainbow Pandas into absolute units among Wild-type pets.
That is why we would love to see the Candy Elephant receive a similar treatment. Elephants are already fairly rare pets that provide high HP per release at lower levels. A Candy Elephant with a strong hatch rate could give players another valuable Wild-type option for endgame HP farming.
Rainbow Elephants are especially appealing because they grant an elephantine 2,500 HP per release, but they are currently quite rare.
The one downside is that this might be too similar to the Area 38 Egg. Since that egg already gave players a 70% hatch-rate Wild-type pet with the Candy Panda, it might not make sense for the Area 39 Egg to do the same thing with the Candy Elephant. For that reason, the Candy Elephant might work better as the 29% hatch-rate pet instead.
Sphinx, Mythic-type pet
Another option from the “Player Created Pet” vote was a Sphinx pet, which is the one I ended up voting for.
The Sphinx design had a canid face, and the rounded pet style of Pet Heroes Adventure seemed to work really well with its crown and nemes headdress flaps hanging down around its face.
Like the T-Rex, the Sphinx would fit nicely as a Mythic-type pet. As mentioned earlier, Mythic is a category that could use another strong endgame option for Pet Leader battles. A Sphinx would also bring a very different visual style to the game, making it feel distinct from the current Mythic-type pets while still feeling appropriately rare and powerful.
Whatever ends up appearing in the Area 39 Egg, the next update has a chance to give players new, endgame pet types that we haven’t yet seen. A new high-HP Dog-type, Bug-type or Mythic-type pet would all be welcome additions but which new pet type would you like to see introduced in Fortnite Pet Heroes Adventure Area 39?
