Kapkan is one of the defensive operators in Rainbow Six Mobile. He is an operator who excels at punishing rushing tactics and slowing enemies down with his explosive booby traps. Thus, Kapkan falls within the anti-entry category of defenders alongside the likes of Castle, Bandit, and Frost. When it comes to inflicting damage on enemy attackers with planted traps, the Kapkan R6 operator is one of the best in Rainbow Six Mobile.
Primary Weapon
Kapkan comes equipped with a 9x19VSN Submachine Gun for a primary weapon. That is a Russian firearm mostly renowned for its manageability and high base damage. The 9x19VSN Submachine Gun has very low recoil, which enhances its accuracy and handling. However, its fire rate is slightly lower than that of alternative SMGs.

Secondary Weapon
The Bailiff 410 is Kapkan’s dual-caliber revolver that’s almost like a miniature shotgun. This weapon has a tight hipfire spread and can quickly destroy barricades or non-reinforced soft walls. Its integrated red dot sight enables faster target alignment.

Kapkan’s Entry Denial Device
The Entry Denial Device is a unique gadget for the Kapkan R6 operator. Kapkan carries five deployable EDDs that you can screw directly into doorways or window frames. Those gadgets have partly invisible motion-sensor lasers that detonate C4 charge explosives when attackers pass through them. The EDD inflicts up to 60 damage per explosion.
Entry Denial Devices can serve two purposes in Rainbow Six Mobile. Firstly, they inflict damage that can potentially kill opponents or at least reduce their health. However, they can also serve as early warning systems because of their blast sounds. Even when an enemy shoots an EDD, that gunfire will alert defenders to where the attackers are pushing.

Kapkan’s Bulletproof Camera
The Bulletproof Camera is Kapkan’s secondary gadget. That is an additional camera that you can stick to the walls. Note that the camera is also bulletproof, which makes it harder for attackers to destroy. This camera enables you and your teammates to scan rooms and tag incoming attackers.

Kapkan’s Stats
Kapkan is a solid all-around operator with mid-range ratings for speed, armor, and range. He is also a beginner-friendly operator because placing his Entry Denial Devices is straightforward. These are Kapkan’s stats:
- Speed: 2/3
- Armor: 2/3
- Range: 3/5
- Difficulty: 1/3 (lower is better)

Tips For Playing as the Kapkan R6 Operator
The placement of your Entry Denial Devices is crucial when playing as the Kapkan R6 operator. Place your EDDs along the doorways and windows directly around objective areas through which attackers will most likely try to pass. Windows are common entry points that attackers try to pass through for objective areas on higher floors. Make sure you place the EDDs indoors and windows close to the objective areas.
Always plant EDDs behind windows or doors from where the attacker will likely approach. It’s much easier for attackers to spot EDDs placed in front of entrances they approach. So, try to anticipate what the front and back of the door will be for an attacker who approaches it.
Plant your EDD traps low (by crouching) to make them harder for enemies to spot. EDDs at the bottom of door frames are somewhat less visible because the attacker’s aiming perspectives are much higher up. I also recommend barricading all doors and windows where you plant EDDs.
Note that you can plant two EDDs on doorways. So, try doubling up on one big door entry point by planting two EDDs along it. Doing this can set up a lethal doorway for attackers who aren’t careful.
Also note that EDDs can destroy other defender gadgetry like Frost traps and barbed wire when detonated. So, try not to place your EDDs right next to gadgetry that they might destroy. If you must place an EDD where there are other defensive gadgets on the floor, insert the trap higher up.
Don’t forget to place Kapkan’s Bulletproof Camera as well. Place the camera reasonably high up in front of a regular entry point to an objective area. Then flick to that camera during matches to tag incoming attackers for your teammates.

How to Counter the Kapkan R6 Operator
Thatcher and Twitch are the best operators for countering Kapkan’s EDDs. If you play as Thatcher, chuck his EMP Grenade at doors and windows close to objective areas. Doing so will temporarily disable EDDs planted around them for 15 seconds, enabling you to pass through them safely.
Alternatively, you can destroy EDDs with Twitch’s Shock Drones. Twich has two Shock Drones with six zaps, enough to eliminate all Kapkan’s EDDs if you can find them. Roll out at least one Shock Drone when a round starts to locate and eliminate EDDs around doors and windows within the objective area.

However, all players can destroy EDDs with their guns. Whenever you see an EDD in a room, make sure you shoot it even if you don’t necessarily need to pass through its door or window. Always keep an eye out for those EDD laser beams when approaching doors.
The Kapkan R6 operator is one of the best for beginners because you can inflict damage on enemies with EDDs without even firing your gun. His Entry Denial Devices are among the most dangerous defensive traps in Rainbow Six Mobile. Kapkan’s Bulletproof Camera can also come in handy for highlighting enemies during rounds.
