A Guide to the Bandit R6 Operator in Rainbow Six Mobile

Bandit is a one of the cornerstone defender operators in Rainbow Six Mobile. This operator is the first line of defence against hard breachers who can blow through reinforced walls. He is a premier anti-breacher for stopping Thermite and Hibana from tearing through walls. The Bandit R6 operator is, quite literally, an electrifying one who can bolster metallic defences in Rainbow Six Mobile.

Primary Weapon

The MP7 is the primary weapon for the Bandit R6 operator. That is, a gun with a very high fire rate and manageable recoil. This submachine gun is very strong in close-quarters engagements, but is less effective from longer ranges. The MP7’s damage noticeably drops off beyond 15 meters.

Secondary Weapon

The Bandit R6 operator has a 5.7 USG handgun for his secondary weapon. That backup pistol has minimal recoil and packs in a lot of ammunition. However, it has lower damage output when compared with heavy pistols.

Bandit’s Shock Wire

Shock Wire is the unique gadget for the Bandit R6 operator. The Shock Wire gadget is a set of deployable car batteries that generate and pass an electric current on metallic defensive utilities. To be more specific, you can electrify reinforced walls, deployable shields, and barbed wire by placing a Shock Wire gadget beside or over the defensive utility. Bandit has four Shock Wire gadgets in Rainbow Six Mobile.

The Shock Wire gadget is primarily for hard-breach area denial. A reinforced wall electrified with Bandit’s Shock Wire gadget will destroy hard-breaching charges like X-Kairos pellets on contact. Thus, you can block Hibana and Thermite from breaching reinforced walls with Shock Wire gadgets.

Bandit’s Barbed Wire

Barbed Wire is Bandit’s relatively bog-standard secondary defensive utility. That is a utility you can place on the floor to slow down and inflict damage on attackers. Barbed Wire also generates noticeable audio cues when attackers walk over it.

However, note that Barbed Wire synergises with Shock Wire. Placing a Shock Wire gadget over Barbed Wire electrifies it. Electrifying Barbed Wire increases its damage potential.

Bandit’s Stats

The stats for the Bandit R6 operator show he has good speed and medium range. However, he’s not a heavily armored operator. These are Bandit’s stats:

  • Difficulty: 1/3
  • Armor: 1/3
  • Speed: 3/3
  • Range: 3/6

Tips for Playing as the Bandit R6 Operator

Identifying and electrifying the most critical reinforced walls around objective areas is crucial when playing as the Bandit R6 operator. The most critical reinforced walls are those that separate objective areas from outside (external) entry points. So, prioritize placing Shock Wires along reinforced walls attackers can blow through from outside buildings.

To help you identify the most critical reinforced walls around objective areas, try exploring the maps in training. You can select to freely explore maps via the Training screen in Rainbow Six Mobile. Then you can identify the best walls to place Shock Wires along when exploring the maps.

Bandit tricking is a more advanced technique you can try when playing as this operator. This involves deploying Shock Wires beside walls when Thermite and Hibana try to activate their breaching devices. However, it’s easier and safer to place Shock Wires during the preparation phase.

Shock Wires can also come in handy for protecting Black Mirrors along reinforced walls. Place your Shock Wires along reinforced walls with Mira’s Black Mirrors. Doing so will make it somewhat harder for Hibana to blow down Black Mirror defences.

Also, note that you can set up rotation holes between bomb detonation areas with Bandit’s 5.7 USG handgun. Try shooting through non-reinforced walls in-between objective areas A and B during the prep phases of rounds. This will enable your team to more easily move between the objective areas.

How to Counter the Bandit R6 Operator

The best way to counter the Bandit R6 operator is to play as Twitch. Twitch can destroy all Bandit’s Shock Wires with her Shock Drones. So, make sure you target Shock Wires when playing as Twitch on the attacking side.

Thatcher is another operator with whom you can disable Bandit’s Shock Wires. Throwing Thatcher’s EMP Grenade at an electrified wall will disable the Shock Wires for about 15 seconds, but that is a limited time window for bypassing them. To maximize Thatcher’s EMP Grenade for disabling Shock Wires, you really need to move alongside Hibana and Thermite in a support operator role so that they can breach walls immediately after you’ve chucked an EMP.

However, you can still destroy Shock Wires with guns. Don’t forget to blast away any Shock Wires you see when not playing as Twitch or Thatcher. Alternatively, you can annihilate Shock Wires with explosive grenades.

The Bandit R6 operator is a valuable, but not necessarily essential, addition to any Rainbow Six Mobile defensive lineup. He’s the best anti-breacher operator in the game for countering the Hibana and Thermite hard breachers. You can shut out critical entry points and slow down enemy attacks by playing as the Bandit R6 operator.
