Thermite (otherwise Jordan Trace) is one of the hard breachers in Rainbow Six Mobile. As a hard breacher, he is among the most critical operators in the game. Thermite is quite literally the most explosive operator in Rainbow Six Mobile with his Exothermic Charges. With that gadget in his locker, the Thermite R6 operator can dictate attacking thrusts by exposing defensive layouts. So, let’s take a look at Thermite’s weapons and gadget loadout in more detail here.
Primary Weapon
The Thermite R6 operation wields a 522-Commando assault rifle as his primary weapon. That’s a hard-hitting assault rifle with serious damage output. It is also a weapon with manageable recoil, making the 522-Commando ideally suited for medium-range gunfights.

Secondary Weapon
The 5.7 USG handgun is Thermite’s secondary gun. That is a semi-automatic pistol with unique high-velocity rounds. This gun has an expansive ammunition magazine and very low recoil, which allows for quick follow-up shots and precise hits.

Thermite’s Exothermic Charge
The Brimstone BC-3 Exothermic Charge is the crown jewel of Thermite’s utility toolkit. Thermite carries two of those large, rectangular explosive devices for blowing through reinforced walls. You can plant the Exothermic Charge on reinforced or non-reinforced walls and floor hatches and remotely detonate it.
Although the Exothermic Charge is a hard-breaching tool like Hibana’s X-KAIROS gadget, it is not entirely the same. Thermite’s Exothermic Charge has a much stronger 4-meter explosive blast that generates somewhat bigger wall holes. That blast is so big that you can sometimes inflict kills with the Exothermic Charge. However, the Exothermic Charge is not quite as flexible as Hibana’s X-KAIORS pellets because you need to walk up to walls to plant it.

Thermite’s Smoke Grenades
The Thermite R6 operator has smoke grenades for players to throw. Those grenades automatically generate temporary smoke clouds for cutting off defenders’ sight lines. With those grenades, Thermite is also a useful tactical support unit.

Thermite’s Stats
Thermite is a solid all-around operator in Rainbow Six Mobile with middling statistics. He is not especially strong or weak in any of the stat categories for ease of use, range, speed, and armor. These are the stat ratings for the Thermite R6 operator:
- Difficulty: 2/3
- Range: 3/5
- Speed: 2/3
- Armor: 2/3

Tips For Playing as the Thermite R6 Operator
The first thing to note when playing as Thermite R6 operator is that his Exothermic Charge has quite a large blast radius. You can blow yourself up if you stand too close to an Exothermic Charge! So, make sure you stand a safe distance away from a planted charge before detonating it. Also, take care not to detonate the charges when teammates are too close to them.
Don’t forget you can also place Exothermic Charges on floor hatches to infiltrate objective areas from above. If an objective area is on a lower floor, try looking for some floor hatches a level above. Blowing through floor hatches will enable you to shoot down on enemies and enter objective areas from completely different directions.
There is a degree of vulnerability when planting Exothermic Charges with the Thermite R6 operator. Enemies can shoot you down during the few seconds it takes to plant one. So, make sure there aren’t any enemies around who might shoot you when planting the charge. To do so, try using a drone to check for nearby roamers.
Alternatively, try chucking smoke grenades to help you plant Exothermic Charges in slightly more risky positions. Smoke grenades are ideal for eliminating enemy sight lines. Chucking a smoke grenade into a corridor or door will enable you to plant an Exothermic Charge with a degree of smoked camouflage.

Smoke grenades can also come in handy for planting defuses and reviving teammates. Chucking smoke grenades makes it safer to plant defusers. They can also come in handy for blocking enemy sight lines when reviving knocked-down teammates.
How to Counter the Thermite R6 Operator
You can counter Thermite’s gadgets with the Bandit, Kaid, and Mute operators. Bandit has Shock Wires, which you can place along reinforced walls to electrify them. That gadget fries Exothermic Charges placed on electrified walls.
If you reinforce many walls, predicting where Thermite might try to blow through is a little harder. However, place Bandit’s Shock Wires along the best reinforced wall entry points for attackers to exploit. Doing so will at least block Thermite from blowing through the most convenient walls.
Playing as Mute will enable you to counter Thermite with the Signal Disruptor. Signal Disrupters jam radio frequencies for detonating Exothermic Charges. So, try placing Signal Disruptors alongside non-electrified reinforced walls when setting up defences.
Overall, the Thermite T6 operator is a pillar of Rainbow Six Mobile’s attacking lineup. Every attacking team should have at least one hard breacher for carving out new entry openings. Thus, Thermite and Hibana are two of the most essential operators in that respect. When you can play as Thermite, you can open the map for securing a path to victory.
