Marius Jäger Streicher is a defender operator in Rainbow Six Mobile who is a prominent member of a German counter-terrorist unit. The Jäger R6 operator protects objective areas against incoming enemy projectiles. Thus, he’s one of the most essential for safeguarding defensive traps and protecting teammates from grenades. Here we’ll take a look at his loadout, stats, and strategic playstyle in more detail.
Primary Weapon
The Jäger R6 operator is equipped with the 416-C Carbine, which is one of the most revered primary weapons for defenders. Most defenders have shotguns and submachine guns, but the 416-C Carbine is an assault rifle that gives Jäger an advantage for mid-to-long-range dogfights. This is an assault rifle with high bullet damage and manageable recoil.

Secondary Weapon
For a secondary a weapon, you can switch to the P9 semi-automatic pistol when playing as the Jäger R6 operator. This gun has solid baseline damage, low recoil, and a generous amount of ammunition. Its uncluttered iron sights are one of the standout features of the P9, which enables quicker target acquisition.

Jäger’s Active Defense System
The Active Defense System (ADS) is a unique gadget for the Jäger R6 operator. Jäger carries three ADS units that he can attach to walls or floors. The ADS automatically tracks and destroys nearby incoming enemy projectiles, mid-air, within its sight lines.
Projectiles include all types of standard grenades, such as stun, fragmentation, and smoke. However, the ADS can also destroy more unique projectiles, such as Thatcher’s EMPs and Ash’s Breaching Rounds. This gadget preserves team cover and wastes attackers’ projectiles.

Jäger’s Barbed Wire
Barbed wire is a relatively bog-standard secondary gadget you can plant when playing as the Jäger R6 operator. Barbed wire slows down attackers and inflicts health damage on those players who walk through it. Walking through the barbed wire also generates a rustling sound, which is an audio cue for defenders.

Jäger’s Stats
The Jäger stats show that he’s a solid all-around operator that’s straightforward to play as. However, Jäger’s range stat is a high one, which highlights he’s an effective operator at picking off enemies from distance. These are the stats for the Jäger R6 operator:
- Difficulty: 1/3
- Range: 4/5
- Speed: 2/3
- Armor: 2/3

Tips For Playing as the Jäger R6 Operator
First, make sure you place all your Active Defense System gadgets before the rounds start. Some players might be tempted to hold on to one or two to see where the enemies attack from before planning. However, you can get killed before you get a chance to plant all ADS devices after a round starts.
When placing the ADS gadgets with the Jäger R6, try to keep them out of the direct window and doorway sight lines. Placing ADS gadgets directly alongside doors and windows will conceal them from attackers trying to push through the entry points they’re next to. However, you can conceal ADS units more by placing them on the floor behind objects.

It is generally better to place ADS units within objective areas rather than on walls surrounding them. Attackers can more easily see ADS gadgets on the surrounding walls they approach from outside the objective areas. Your ADS units will probably destroy more grenades when placed on walls inside the objective area near common entry points.
Try planting your barbed wire behind single or double windows. Placing barbed wire just behind windows is one of the more effective defensive strategies because defenders can’t destroy it with melee attacks as easily. Plant the barbed wire slightly further back behind a window at a point an attacker will likely land after vaulting through it.

Note that you can also conceal other traps by planting barbed wire over them. For example, try planting barbed wire over Frost’s Welcome Mat or Lesion’s Gu Mine. Doing so will make it harder for attackers to see the Welcome Mat or Gu Mine when pushing through a window or door.
How to Counter the Jäger R6 Operator
Twitch is the best R6 operator for countering Jäger’s ADS gadgets. You can destroy all three ADS gadgets placed within an objective area by zapping them with one of Twitch’s Shock Drones. Roll out a Shock Drone when a round starts to clear ADS gadgets for your teammates.

Thatcher’s EMP grenades can also temporarily disable ADS gadgets, but only when chucked outside of their sight lines. Try chucking an EMP grenade directly in front of a door or window rather than through it. The EMP grenade will disable all electronic enemy gadgetry that falls within its radius. However, ADS gadgets will likely destroy your EMP grenades if chucked through windows or doors.

Of course, you can destroy ADS gadgets with all operators just by shooting at them. If you see an ADS gadget on a wall or floor, make sure you shoot at it to clear the gadget for your team. A few bullets will always destroy any ADS utility.
Overall, the Jäger R6 operator is one of the best in Rainbow Six Mobile for defending objective areas. Jäger is a beginner-friendly operator equipped with one of the best defender gadgets and primary weapons in the game. You can eliminate countless incoming attacker grenades, which are important for penetrating objective areas, by playing as Jäger.
