Rainbow Six Mobile is a new tactical shooter for phones and tablets that’s rather good. Although Rainbow Six Mobile had a delayed launch, it was worth the wait because it offers some intense 5 vs 5 tactical shooting combat. In Rainbow Six Mobile, the attacking side tries to defuse a bomb, and the defending team defends two detonation sites. Thus, R6 Mobile is kind of like Counter-Strike in reverse. Here are some Rainbow Six Mobile game tips to help you climb the ranking ladder in this tactical shooter.
Crouch Walk to Reduce Sound Cues
The sound of footsteps is always the biggest audio alert of approaching opponents. So, turn up the volume so you can hear those footsteps better. By listening to footsteps, you can better anticipate where opponents will attack from.
Surprising enemies is often the best way to kill them. To enhance your element of surprise, try to reduce your own sound cues to make it harder for opponents to hear you. The best way to do this is to crouch walk when enemies are near. Crouch walking significantly dampens footstep audio, enabling you to close in on opponents without alerting them.

Peek Around Corners to Shoot
The Rainbow Six Mobile game has left and right peek buttons for peeking around corners. Peeking is invaluable in R6 because it enables you to shoot around walls, doors, and furniture edges without exposing too much of your body to return fire. Plus, you can check enemies’ positions by peeking around corners. So, try peeking and shooting to discover what a difference it can make in combat.

Scout Ahead With Your Personal Camera
All attacking operations have mobile drones (cameras) that they can scout with during match rounds. So, make sure you use your drone during rounds. Roll out a drone before entering a building or moving into the detonation areas to check where the enemies are waiting for you. Some opponents might be waiting around door or window entrances to blast you, and scouting ahead with drones is the best way to check room corners.

Level Up New Operations in Quick Match Mode
Quick Match is the non-ranked mode in the Rainbow Six Mobile game in which you can play short best-of-three matches. That is an ideal mode to try out and level up operations you haven’t played as before. Levelling up operators in Quick Matches will enable you to upgrade their weaponry for ranked play. Your operators will be stronger for ranked matches with upgraded and optimized weaponry if you play more Quick Matches.

Explore Map Layouts
Although you will gain more map knowledge simply by playing more matches, there is a way you can freely explore map layouts without any players in them. To do so, select Operators on the main menu. Select an operator and tap the Practice drop-down menu to select one of the Rainbow Six Mobile game maps. You can then freely explore all areas of a selected map to gain greater insight into its overall layout.

Be Careful of Kapkan’s Booby Traps
Kapkan is an operator with booby traps (Entry Denial Devices) that can kill players who aren’t careful enough when approaching them (yes, some even got me). They are all the more dangerous because they can be almost invincible from one side. So, keep an eye out for his booby traps around doors and windows near the detonation areas when the opposing team has a Kapkan operator. You can destroy such devices by shooting their hooks or chucking grenades through doors and windows. Alternatively, try utilizing Thatcher’s EMP grenades when approaching doors to temporarily disable them.
Kapkan is a good operator to play as precisely because of his booby traps. Placing booby traps on the opposite sides of doorways that attackers will push from makes them almost invisible. You can make them even harder to spot by placing them low.

Claim Your Free Renown
The Rainbow Six Mobile game includes a couple of good options for freely claiming rewards, such as more renown. However, those options are well hidden within the Draw Packs tab of the R6 Shop. Select Shop > Draw Packs and scroll right to the bottom to find the two options for claiming free daily rewards. One is an option for claiming rewards by watching video advertisements. Those options will enable you to amass more renown for unlocking new operations.

Shoot From Cover Positions
Standing in the middle of rooms and hallways when defending is a bad idea in the Rainbow Six Mobile game. Try to find some good cover positions, such as desks, low walls, or deployable shields (Smoke has one), from which to shoot when starting defender rounds. Then wait for the enemy to arrive and blast them down from cover positions.
Play the Defensive Anchor Role
Roamer and anchor are the two defender roles in the Rainbow Six Mobile game. Anchor defenders are those who stay within the objective rooms, while roamers try to intercept attackers outside of those areas. The anchor role is better for beginners who are less familiar with the map layouts because it’s easier to avoid ambushes. Plus, you can utilize cover positions better when playing as an anchor defender.

Play for Time When Defending
Don’t forget that time is on your side when defending detonation areas. Attackers have to either kill all enemies or plant a defuser within a time limit, but that’s not the case for defenders. So, take your time when defending and wait for attackers to try to break through before going for kills. Don’t forget, defenders can win rounds by playing out the clock rather than killing all opponents.
The Rainbow Six Mobile game is almost like high-speed chess that you can take control of by integrating the tips above into your gameplay. I hope those tips help you rank up faster in R6 Mobile. Good luck, and have fun in your early Rainbow Six Mobile seasons, operator.
