Blizzard officially announced upcoming Hearthstone expansion, Scholomance Academy yesterday — as well as look at the first thirteen cards from the Scholomance Academy set.
Today, they unveiled the official Hearthstone Scholomance Academy card reveal schedule, which will begin next week on Wednesday, July 22nd and continue for a full week until the following Wednesday, July 29th. Here’s a look at the full release schedule along with the corresponding thumbnail snippets from the card art:
As is tradition, let’s make some grossly inaccurate predictions as to what some of the cards will be based on the thumbnail snippets provided. We’ll be updating each thumbnail to coincide with the actual card’s release, so be sure to check back to see how prescient or comically imprecise our guesses were.
Without further ado, in order from top left to bottom right::
July 22nd, 12:00 CEST (6:00 AM EST)
The thumbnail of this card features what looks to be a leather shoulder pauldron, potentially for a rogue or a druid. Is that a fur lining in the forefront of the image or some sort of broom brush?
Our guess: A rogue or druid spell.
July 22nd, 13:00 CEST (7:00 AM EST)
“For the Crusade!”
Could the Scarlet Crusader, Scarlet Purifier and Scarlet Subjugator be gaining another ally to their cause? That’s definitely the old school insignia of the Scarlet Crusade pictured on the thumbnail, along with a broadsword in the foreground.
Perhaps Scarlet Commander Mograine looking to rush to the side of High Inquisitor Whitemane?
Our guess: Some sort of Scarlet Monastery themed minion.

Forest-green, glowing energy with a hint of fauna within?
Our guess: Looks like a Druid spell.

Stitches on revolting-looking skin? Is this what the Scholomance Academy was alluding to when it said there were strange things lurking in the basement of the school?
Our guess: Could this be some sort of proto-Patchwerk, the infamous boss from the Construct Quarter of Kel’thuzad’s floating fortress of Naxxramas? Or some kind of Abomination haven’t yet seen before?

Our guess: We’re gonna make a real professional guess here and say this is a Demon Hunter card of some kind.

Our guess: This little grinning imp is most assuredly the constituent of a Warlock card.
